Japan is the country with a relatively high risk of natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis. Preparedness cannot be put off just because the timing of an earthquake or tsunami is unknown. Disaster prevention measures are essential and should be prioritized to ensure safe and secure living spaces. We apply the lessons learned in the Great East Japan Earthquake to future prevention and countermeasures with comprehensive disaster prevention technologies based on the accumulation of many technologies learned from the disaster.
Sewerage is an essential facility that constitutes the foundation of the city. Sewerage is the way forward to: improving the living environment, preventing flooding, preserving the quality of public waters, effectively using sewerage resources and facilities, and creating a water cycle and water environment, all of which will become increasingly important for our future lives.
Rivers are not only important for flood control. Rivers make our lives safer, more comfortable, and richer by contributing to the local climate and culture, preserving and coexisting with nature and its creatures, and creating pleasant waterside spaces. We address the challenges of an increasingly sophisticated social and natural environment while leveraging its expertise in sewage systems and rivers. Our proposals for solving problems are not limited to our specialized fields, but also incorporate ideas from a comprehensive perspective.
Planning for cities, regions, and national landscapes is an expanding process that involves several steps.
Following steps are commonly taken: 1. develop a vague vision of the future of the city into a clear concept or plan that can be shared by residents; 2. study the ideal direction of land use and link it to specific projects; 3. develop specific areas such as urban safety, public transportation, bicycles, greenery, parks, historical and cultural appeal, and so on.
We have a wealth of expertise and knowledge in this area, will continue to take on challenges in diverse fields, always thinking about what we can do to improve national land, cities, and regions, utilizing our expertise and wealth of experience.
